The Secretariat Birthday and Monument Celebration Day is free and open to the public. The site of our Secretariat Racing Into History monument is at the corner of England St. and Railroad Ave. in downtown Ashland, next to the train tracks. More info coming soon!
11am – 4 pm: Local vendors and food trucks in Randolph-Macon parking lot near statue site
11 am - 1:30 pm at Ashland Theatre: Talk by Kate Tweedy and Jocelyn Russell; free showing of Secretariat film
2:00 pm: Reynolds Family Plaza at Randolph-Macon College - "Secretariat Racing Into History" Monument Dedication Ceremony with guest speakers, choir, photo ops, birthday cake.
3:15-3:45 pm Ashland Theatre – Presentations on the monument’s Triple Crown Tour and how the monument was made
4:00 pm. Public festivities conclude. Please continue to enjoy the ambience and attractions of Downtown Ashland!
